Nanna was born and raised in Reykjavik, Iceland and is now based in Scotland where she has a studio in the scenic rural setting of Dumfrieshire.
Initially Nanna enjoyed much success as a sculptor (in which medium she was commissioned on numerous occasions to create portrait busts) however she grew to realise an equal passion for painting.
in 1991 Nanna gained a Fine Art degree from City & Guilds of London Art School, Kennington where she won the Foundation Prize and subsequently had her work selected as the best amongst an exhibition of the graduates.
Since the Nanna has held exhibitions at Shad Thames, the Icelandic Embassy in London and Perlan; one of Reykjaviks great landmarks.
Nanna has also co-exhibited with other artists in mixed shows.
